The PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus has been chosen at the field level, where a high-speed response is required and small amounts of data are generally exchanged.

PROFIBUS DP is the performance optimized version of PROFIBUS, specifically dedicated to time critical communication between automation systems and distributed peripherals.

PROFIBUS DP is a part of the IEC 61158 (EN 50170 Part III - DIN 19245 Part III "Process Field Bus Decentralized Periphery DP").


FBI-SP PROFIBUS plug-in board
FBI-SP is a PROFIBUS Interface plug-in board for all Algodue modular meters. It is fully compatible as for size and connection to the other plug-in boards available for ALGODUE meters.
Each unit equipped with a FBI-SP can be connected to a PROFIBUS network directly.
The logical address can be selected from 1 to 99 by two rotary switches on the board. The board is supplied with the proper GSD file for network configuration.


FBI-32P PROFIBUS Gateway
FBI-32P is an Interface module for instruments network. It can be used by all the Algodue meters (modular and not).

It can manage maximum 32 meters on a PROFIBUS network. The logical address can be selected from 1 to 99 by two rotary switches on the module.
Together with the module is delivered a floppy containg the GSD file for network configuration.
